Zain’s Regional Data Centre for Data Storage, Information Management and Disaster Recovery (THE BUNKER) has, for the second time, been awarded the Tier III Gold Certification of Operational Sustainability (TCOS) by the globally recognized Uptime Institute, a leading authority in data center performance, resilience, sustainability and efficiency.
The certification is among the institute’s highest recognition for operational sustainability, maintenance and the management of Tier III data centers. It reaffirms THE BUNKER’s advanced operational capabilities, readiness and business continuity, as well as its commitment to applying the best international practices in data center management and operations to deliver reliable and secure services to customers around the clock.
This latest achievement adds to the center’s record of international certifications from Uptime Institute, following its Tier III Design Certification in 2018 and Tier III Constructed Facility Certification in 2019.
Zain marked the occasion with a luncheon attended by its business partners and corporate customers. During the event, Lina Barakat, Enterprise Business Director at Zain Jordan, received the certification shield from a representative of Uptime Institute, recognizing the center’s continued progress and Zain’s ongoing investment in advanced digital infrastructure and innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of Jordan’s business sector.
As digital transformation accelerates and cyber threats continue to grow, THE BUNKER plays an increasingly important role in strengthening organizational resilience, safeguarding data and digital assets, and helping businesses maintain operational continuity under different circumstances. THE BUNKER continues to strengthen its position as a leading data center in the region. In 2025, it received the Middle East Excellence Award 2025 in the Data Centers for Telecommunications Companies category, presented by Asian Business Review, adding another milestone to its growing list of achievements and international recognitions.
Located in King Hussein Business Park, THE BUNKER is the first of its kind in the region, specializing in data storage, information management and disaster recovery. Spanning approximately 4,300 square meters, the center offers a comprehensive range of services, including server hosting, cloud computing, data storage, disaster recovery, and network and data protection against cyberattacks.
