Zain Sponsors “Battleground” Basketball Tournament

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the sports sector in the Kingdom and contributing to the development of young Jordanian athletic talents, Zain Jordan sponsored "Battleground” basketball tournament, organized by the Sam Daghlas Academy "SD13.”

The tournament featured the participation of 115 male and female players aged 15 to 18, in addition to 45 players in the youth category aged 18 and above. The competitions were held over several days in a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere, where participants showcased their skills.

Zain’s sponsorship of this tournament comes in line with its commitment to supporting the sports sector in the Kingdom and providing opportunities for Jordanian youth and aspiring athletes to develop their skills and compete at high levels, in alignment with its social responsibility strategy that focuses on youth empowerment across various fields.

Zain continues to support the Jordanian sports sector, particularly basketball, as the exclusive telecom sponsor of the Jordan Basketball Federation. The company had recently launched its Ramadan 3x3 Basketball Tournament for young players of both genders, with the participation of 40 teams divided as follows: 12 teams of girls under 16, 16 teams of boys under 16, and 12 teams of boys under 14. The tournament was organized in cooperation with the Etihad Amman Club, as part of Zain’s ongoing partnership with the Jordan Basketball Federation.
